Who is one-to-one coaching for?
One-to-one coaching is for young people aged 13–19 who want personal space to think clearly, explore ideas and build confidence with money, choices and decision-making.
You might find it useful if:
-
You want to understand your money habits more clearly.
-
You are starting to earn and want to think through what to do with your income.
-
You have an idea or project you would like to explore but are unsure where to begin.
-
You want to feel more confident making choices without pressure.
-
You are saving, spending or planning for something that matters to you.
It could be a good fit if:
-
You prefer having space to talk things through at your own pace.
-
You want practical support rather than lectures or homework.
-
You are open to trying small steps and learning from what happens.
-
You find it useful to ask questions or think out loud.
-
You want someone alongside you without being told what to do.
What could you explore in one-to-one coaching?
You do not need to arrive with a perfect goal. One-to-one coaching can help you take something that feels unclear, busy or unfinished and make it easier to think through.
Money habits and everyday choices
Explore spending, saving, managing income, planning ahead or noticing patterns in how money is used.
Confidence with decisions
Talk through options, compare what matters, understand pressure and make choices that feel more considered.
Goals and routines
Work out what you want to move towards, what might get in the way and what small steps could help.
Ideas and projects
Shape a creative idea, side project or early venture, then think through what it needs and what could be tried first.
Earning and independence
Explore early income, work, freelancing, content creation, sport, performance or other opportunities where money and responsibility are growing.
Conversations and support
Think through how to talk about money, choices, independence or support with parents, carers or other people involved.
These are examples, not a checklist. The free chat can help you decide where you would like to begin.
What one-to-one coaching feels like
One-to-one coaching is a conversation with structure. You bring the topic, question, goal or idea. The coach helps you slow it down, think it through and decide what may be useful to try next.
1
Set the focus
We begin by agreeing what would be useful to explore and what you would like to get from the session.
2
Think it through
You can talk through what is happening now, notice patterns, compare options or look at the situation from a different angle.
3
Choose a next step
Towards the end, you can decide what insight, idea or practical step you want to take away.
Flaem uses the SPARK Framework as a flexible guide, so sessions have structure while still being shaped around the young person, their goals and what matters most to them.

A note for parents and carers
For young people under 18, a parent or carer is involved in the enquiry and consent process before coaching begins.
One-to-one coaching gives the young person their own space to think, speak openly and build confidence in their choices. Before sessions start, we agree how the coaching relationship will work, including privacy, safeguarding boundaries and how parents or carers will be involved.
The aim is to support the young person’s independence while keeping the process clear, age-appropriate and responsibly delivered.
