Advertising, Partnerships and Sponsorship Policy
Last updated: October, 2025
1. Purpose of This Policy
Flaem works with trusted partners to make learning about money and enterprise more engaging, relevant, and inspiring for young people aged 7 – 19.
This policy explains:
-
How Flaem selects and reviews partners, advertisers, and sponsors.
-
How we ensure full transparency in any paid or collaborative content.
-
How these relationships protect children’s privacy and uphold safeguarding standards.
2. Our Principles
-
Learning Comes First – All partnerships must enhance educational value, never distract from it.
-
Transparency Always – Every sponsored or partner story is clearly labelled.
-
Age-Appropriate Content – All collaborations follow UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and CAP Code guidance for children.
-
Privacy and Safety – Partners must meet Flaem’s safeguarding and data-protection standards.
-
Ethical Alignment – We only work with organisations that share our values of inclusion, creativity, and responsible enterprise.
3. Types of Collaboration
Flaem may collaborate in the following ways:
-
Sponsored Stories / Missions
-
Educational Events & Workshops
-
Product Placement
-
Co-Branded Competitions or Challenges
-
Reward or Prize Collaborations
4. How We Select Partners
All potential partners undergo a review covering:
-
Mission Alignment: Supports youth learning or positive money habits.
-
Reputation & Conduct: No history of misleading or harmful advertising.
-
Safeguarding Checks: Meets Flaem’s child-protection expectations.
-
Advertising Compliance: Conforms to ASA/CAP rules and Children’s Code.
-
Sustainability & Ethics: Encourages responsible business practices.
Flaem reserves the right to end any partnership that no longer meets these criteria.
5. How Sponsorship Appears to Users
Every sponsored or partner activity is clearly identified by one of the following labels:
-
“In Partnership With … ”
-
“Sponsored Story / Mission”
-
“Co-Created With … ”
-
“Supported By …”
In each case:
-
The educational message remains the primary focus.
-
Users are never required to buy or sign up for any real product.
-
Any links to external sites are optional and supervised by parents.
6. Advertising Standards & Prohibited Content
Flaem will never accept sponsorship or advertising from organisations offering or promoting:
-
Credit cards, loans, or payday products
-
Gambling, alcohol, tobacco, or vaping
-
Cryptoassets, trading platforms, or high-risk investments
-
Inappropriate entertainment, violent, or adult content
-
Any organisation failing safeguarding or ethical checks
7. Children’s Privacy & Data Protection
-
Flaem does not share personal data with partners for marketing.
-
Partners may receive aggregated, anonymised insights (e.g., engagement stats) — never identifiable data.
-
Any competition or sponsored activity that collects information will:
-
Require parental consent.
-
Explain exactly what data is collected and why.
-
Delete data promptly after the event.
-
All data handling follows the UK GDPR and ICO Children’s Code.
Full details appear in our Privacy Policy.
8. Educational Integrity Statement
Flaem’s partnership model supports financial literacy through storytelling, not advertising.
We collaborate only when:
-
The learning value outweighs the commercial value.
-
The story’s moral and educational outcomes remain unchanged.
-
Children are never pressured to purchase or promote anything.
9. Complaints or Concerns
If you believe any partner content breaches these standards, please contact:
Flaem will review and, if appropriate, withdraw the material immediately.

11. Young Adventurer recap
Some stories are made with real companies — that’s how we show how money and business work!
-
You’ll always see when a story is sponsored.
-
You don’t have to buy anything.
-
It’s all about learning from the real world — safely and creatively.
